Massage is a core lifestyle change that is a self care changer for many of us. What are the pros and cons of receiving massage on a regular basis?
Pros and Cons in the massage world To name a few Pros It increases serotonin and dopamine Helps you sleep better Relieves chronic pain with regular treatments Increase flexibility You can receive with clothes on or off Prevents sport injuries Relieves tensions and aches Relieves headaches Digestive disorder relief and improvement Creates connection in a safe environment Sensory integration Encourages hydrating Many are non judgemental and compassionate to whatever comes up for you Cons It will help you feel what your body wants but also where it hurts 1 hour is NOT enough time to solve what your body wants Going deep isn’t for everyone yet many of us don’t speak up Some therapist won’t listen and will do what they think is right If you don’t speak up and say no you might receive a bruising It can be detoxifying and dehydrating If you are on blood thinners or have a broken bone we can’t help you
